"I have always found that HJC gives you the best bang for the buck in the helmet world and this top of the line model is no exception. The construction and fit is first rate and it is much quieter than other helmets I have owned although they were all cheaper models. The mechanism to remove the face shield is very easy to use."

HJC AC-12 Axis Helmet
Bought this helmet to replace a CL-15 Kast. Difference is markedly noticeable. AC is a tad lighter and much quieter. The face shield seals really well. Air flow is much better than the CL, and I no longer ever fog the shield up. It also seems to just "fit" better than the CL.

When I sold helmets at the dealership, I would say that tightness on the cheeks is okay. Hard spots and pressure points on top of your head or on your forehead is not okay.

That said, I bought a Scorpion recently, that after trying on a helmet at the shop, I ordered a new one which fit even tighter... and I couldn't wear it for long periods of time.

The new AC-12 by HJC incorporates racer-tested features such as the Advanced Composite Material (ACM) shell and an Advanced Channeling Ventilation System (ACS) to provide one of the most technologically advanced helmets in its class.

The AC-12 is a great helmet from HJC. Similar to the AC-12 Carbon, this helmet features the Aqua Trans “open cell” liner, which wicks away moisture, keeping you dry and cool. The ventilation system is also excellent. The AC-12 is pretty lightweight, slightly heavier than the Carbon.

The AC-12 has large eye port openings for a good field of vision, and is available in 2 shell sizes. The anti-fog systems keeps the face shield clear, even during changing weather.

The AC-12 is both Snell and DOT approved. As one of the top of the line helmets from HJC, this is definitely a great buy!
